Suggested Itinerary
5:30 AM: Leave Delhi (or Bareilly at 3 AM) for Agra.
6:30 AM: Taj Mahal at sunrise. 2 hours. Exit by 9 AM before the crowds build.
9:30 AM: Agra Fort. 1.5 hours. The prison tower where Shah Jahan spent his last years, gazing at the Taj.
11:30 AM: Drive to Mathura (60 km, 1 hour).
12:30 PM: Krishna Janmabhoomi darshan. 45 minutes. Then Dwarkadhish Temple. Quick lunch at a local dhaba near the temple.
2:30 PM: Drive to Vrindavan (15 km, 30 minutes).
3:00 PM: Banke Bihari Temple. ISKCON Temple. Prem Mandir at sunset (the illuminations begin at 7 PM if you stay).
7:30 PM: Begin return to Delhi or Bareilly.
Practical Tips
Book Taj tickets online the previous evening. Dress modestly for all temples. Avoid Janmashtami (August) unless you specifically want the festival — the crowds are very intense. Wednesday is the least crowded day at Vrindavan's major temples.
